Have been reading something about the various facilities and services rendered for those differently-abled. By all standards, those whom people call back in India call 'mad' and have no hesitation confining them to an asylum, are not looked down upon here in the West. Those with autism have opportunities to suit their growth process and are certainly encouraged to be part of society's mainstream - much more than in India. Then there are all the various facilities offered or made available in common places (ramps, lifts, allocated seats, parking spaces, tailored vehicles, separate office/department for additional help) for the physically-challenged is truly praise-worthy.
On this one count of the support-system for the differently-abled, I certainly respect the European culture.
