Speaking of English food and their tastes, someone today made an interesting observation. He said, the English have a very poor sense of taste and food. That's the reason, one will never find an 'English restaurant' anywhere in the world. An English pub, for sure but not a restaurant. Whereas, anywhere you go, you sure are to find Indian, Chinese, Thai, French, Italian restaurants. Except for the English breakfast, which I'm told is a sumptuous meal of eggs, sausages, pudding, bread, butter, tomatoes, tea, and what not, no other meal is a real full-filling meal.
My two months of experience here in England, confirms the former. The latter point about the English b'fast, I'm yet to verify. Haven't really had a decent relaxed community b'fast anytime yet.
