I came across an article which listed 10 warnings of an inwardly focused Church. One of them was 'greater concern for change than Gospel'. Now that was something I was not sure about... till I read what the author meant.
Almost any noticeable changes in the church evoke the ire of many; but those same passions are not evident about participating in the work of the gospel to change lives.The rest of the warning signs were quite evident and some are as follows: programme driven, focussed on entitlement, budget and expenses not beyond oneself, discord within and prolonged meetings! As for that last item on the list, I wouldn't like to differ a bit!
